“The sparkle-flecked innocence and squeak.” Yes, that’s it, although in my day we didn’t have sparkles. So many sharp details here. I’m off to take a short walk with a dog who takes many breaks for sniffing.

Thanks for sprinkling some glitter here, Rona. I feel like I'm on a Rona streak!

Delicious lunchtime memories, Jules. It's a miracle that we are still alive...having eaten from those BPA-lined pudding tins with sharp metal lids that, when peeled, were like razors when licked. Sometimes, I was lucky enough to swap out the Kool-Aid for chocolate milk or "Beep" on drink order days. Remember that stuff? That was pretty special, too. Good times....

Oh, Beep. Yes. Surely there was a recall on that for being too orange or flammable perhaps? Those pudding tins! Funny, I was reading the Air Transat fine print of permitted carry-on items. One can board a plane with a bowling ball or fishing lures but NOT a pizza cutter. Obviously someone tried at some point and ruined it for everyone else. But, I'm sure you could bring one of those pudding tins!

Reading this was just pure, unadulterated fun. It brought back memories of going to kindergarten for half-day sessions and though I can’t remember my classmates I still remember what our teacher looked like. My first crush? Not by a long shot. I think my first crush was actress Loretta Young, a former movie star who had her own anthology series on TV. She hosted the show and performed in some of the episodes. Thanks for sharing and reviving these forgotten memories. I hope you can take a longer walk than even Marco Polo, and I can’t wait to hear all about it!

Thank you for for sharing, Rafael! I had to Google your crush. Mine? Fred Jones from Scooby-Doo with the red bandana stylishly knotted around his neck (yes, a cartoon).

I was in one of the first kindergarten classes to go full time. Or so I think in my mind. Maybe it was always just half a day? Ha.
